Special remarks: Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand8/Monocyte chemoattractant protein-2 (CCL8/MCP-2) is constitutionally-classified as C-C subfamily. CCL8/MCP-2 is produced by monocytes, fibroblasts and epithelial cells, and it shows chemotactic activity to CD4+ T cells, CD8+ T cells, monosytes and NK cells. Recently it has been reported that elevated serum levels of CCL8/MCP-2 were found in humans with GVHD (Graft-Versus-Host-Disease) who had undergone HSCT (Hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation) and the report has suggested that CCL8/MCP-2 is a potential biomarker for human GVHD .
